The Roman road is something I learned about after I rededicated my life and heart to serve Christ. This road map to salvation is the best way to explain to someone seeking salvation and to new Christians the way to be saved through faith and live the life of God’s will. We are truly all sinners; we are born that way, period, end of story. The road-map given to us by the word of God tells us we must “confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.” Once these things happened in my life, amazing things followed for me. For me, it was like time had slowed down. Instead of reliving my past mistakes over and over in my mind, I felt the peace of Jesus’ forgiveness. The same can happen for you too! All you have to do is follow the map in God’s word.
Darkness is no longer welcome in my heart because the light of Jesus Christ has taken control and has flooded my spirit. Jesus never left me. I am reminded by my husband, Patrick, during our long conversations, if we wonder why we do not feel close to God, we have to ask ourselves “who moved”? I was the one who moved. Our Lord remains forever constant and present. He walked with me, carried me and held me throughout all of those years. Once I rededicated my life and my heart to my Savior and turned away from the darkness to stand with the light shining brightly on my face, the peace and love I still longed for were found. It was as if God wrapped me in His arms and said, “I’ve been waiting for you.”
You can have the love of Jesus right now! Just pray this simple prayer with all of your heart, soul and mind:
Dear Jesus, please forgive me of my sins, come into my heart and dwell there. I believe you were crucified for me and God raised you from the dead so I may have eternal life. I make you my Lord and Savior. In Jesus name, Amen!
Now start with the Roman road and begin your personal relationship with your Savior. Find a church home so you can bond with other believers and fellowship in His name. God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you! Just move closer to Him.
